Why Miss Kim Lilac Tree
The Miss Kim Lilac is a fantastic compact tree with burst of color and dense foliage. Its blooms are similar to those of common lilac. In late spring to early summer, the Miss Kim Lilac produces fragrant clusters of pale lavender flowers that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The flowers are followed by dark green foliage that turns burgundy-red in the fall, adding a splash of color to the landscape.
Considered a slow grower, it will reach 6 to 10 feet tall and 5 to 7 feet wide, making it a great choice for smaller gardens, intimate patio spaces, or as a specimen plant in a larger
landscape. The Miss Kim Lilac can tolerate full sun to partial shade. In warmer climates, they prefer to be planted in afternoon shade to help protect them from the hot sun.
The tree is easy to care for and requires minimal pruning, making it a great choice for novice gardeners or those with limited time to devote to their landscapes. The tree prefers to be planted in areas with moist, well-drained soil and can tolerate a wide range of soil types as long as they are not too alkaline.
