With knowledge comes understanding, and with understanding comes compassion.

Our mission is simple – help the caregiver! We are caregivers too. We are mothers, daughters, and wives, and we believe caregivers are the backbone of the dementia health crisis sweeping the nation.

We are not a membership or dues paying organization. We just liked the name The Caregiver Club®. It is through the generous support from our donors that all our programs are free for caregivers and their loved ones with Alzheimer or other related dementias.

To immediately help caregivers, we created our caregiver cards. They are a resource for caregivers to use today! They decrease caregiver stress and isolation while increasing socialization for the individual with memory loss and their care partner.

In addition, we fund and run St. Louis-based caregiver-companion outings to support our belief in the importance of socialization. We fund our national caregiver respite initiative that validates, thanks and reenergizes dementia caregivers with monetary grants and care packages. Lastly, through our dementia-friendly dining program we partner with St. Louis metro-based restaurants to train and support restaurant staff in dementia communication best practices.

Countless studies and medical professionals discuss the importance of socialization as a key piece in the prevention of Alzheimer’s or other related dementias. The Caregiver Club® leans into improving an individual’s level of socialization through the programs we support and the products we sell.

Caregiver Testimonial

The Caregiver Club

Your organization is a blessing. There are many organizations that offer advice in dealing with loved ones with dementia, but your organization seems to be the only one who thinks of the struggles the caregivers go through. Keep up the great work. I’ll be sure to pass along your information to anyone else I know in a similar situation as myself.

Thank you again,
Lynda S.

Caregiver Companion Outings

One of our donation-supported programs is our caregiver-companion outings. Socialization is a crucial component of brain health, and we foster that through our caregiver-companion outings. These outings are designed for the caregiver and their companion with memory loss. These events are The Caregivers Club® version of a typical support group model. They are designed to be small, supportive, and fun. These free events are an excellent way for you and your loved one with dementia to socialize with individuals on a similar journey. They offer a chance to make lasting memories and connect with others in an understanding environment. Please check our events page for the most up-to-date information and register; space is limited.

Caregiver Respite Initiative

Our second donation-funded program is our Caregiver Respite Initiative. The Caregiver Club® is passionate about giving back to dementia caregivers. As caregivers, we know just how far a little support can go. That is why we created our caregiver respite initiative. Three times a year, The Caregiver Club® will choose nominated dementia caregivers to receive our funding and caregiver appreciation gift. Head to our Nominate a Caregiver page for more information on nominating a caregiver today.

Dementia-Friendly Dining

Dementia-Friendly Dining is a St. Louis-based program that supports caregivers and their loved ones with memory loss through the dining experience. The Caregiver Club® has partnered with local restaurants to train staff in the best dementia communication practices. These restaurants are committed to being a welcoming and dementia-friendly environment. Please check out our DFD page for more information.
